The Canyon-Lister Fire Department is asking people to be very careful when using farm equipment.
This follows several farm equipment fires in the Creston area including one in South Lister last week and another in Kitchener over the weekend.
Lieutenant Jason Midel says the dry conditions pose a severe risk.
Midel says it’s a good idea to always have a fire extinguisher on hand and to try and put a fire out when it initially starts.
