Excessive garbage concerns WildSafe BC

Wildsafe BC is concerned about an excessive amount of garbage being deposited into commercial bins in Creston.

Community Coordinator, Trish Drinkle says this includes local household garbage and it’s resulting in an abundance of waste which could become a wildlife attractant .

Drinkle says although bears are the most common culprit, raccoons and skunks also forage for garbage within the town limits.

Other attractants include fruit trees and bird feeders.
