The Creston Education Centre did not make the cut for consideration of the Provincial Rural Education Enhancement Fund .
Trustees based that decision on the fact it doesn’t meet the criteria .
And because technically it’s not a school as it’s not registered with the province.
Wildflower is one of the programs run out of the centre.
PAC President Becky Coons says it’s frustrating but she’s trying to remain optimistic.
If the centre closes, the district’s plans call for the nine programs operating out of the building to be relocated to other schools.
