A near drowning at a beach along Kootenay Lake’s East Shore late Monday afternoon.
Riondel Fire Chief Corey Medhurst says they were called to Gray Creek after a report that man had slipped under the water while swimming with friends.
Medhurst says once BC Ambulance arrived, the 42-year old was breathing and semi-conscious.
He was airlifted from the Crawford Bay Airstrip to hospital in Nelson but his condition is unknown.
