The Kootenay Lake School Board has passed final reading to divest itself of the Creston Education Centre.
That’s despite some last minute jitters over whether they can get it done by a self-imposed deadline of February 2018.
But Chair Lenora Trenaman isn’t worried.
The idea is to let a community partnership take over the building but keep the existing programs in place.
Last night the by-law to close Yahk Elementary was also adopted.
