Mobile medical unit coming to Creston

A hospital on wheels will visit Creston this weekend.

The mobile medical unit is designed to be used when disaster strikes or while hospital renovations are underway.

Clinical operations director Peter Hennecke says it gets around the province.

In Creston they’ll train clinicians to deal with mass casualties and trauma.

The unit is housed on a tractor-tractor and expands to a 90-square meter facility with up to eight beds.

You can tour it at the hospital on Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon.
