Too dangerous for Rock Creek fire damage assessment

Many evacuated residents affected by the Rock Creek wildfire want to know what has happened to their property amidst reports that there has been some destruction.

The RDKB’s Alan Stanley says it’s too dangerous to move around the affected area.

Stanley says the excessive smoke has limited the ability for aerial reconnaissance.

A re-unification hotline has now been set up for people trying to connect with family and friends.

But Stanley says its crucial those who’ve been evacuated check in at one of the reception centres.

The re-unification hotline number is –

1 – 888- 350- 6070.
