Saving properties remains focus at Rock Creek wildfire

Crews battling the big Rock Creek wildfire are doing what they can to protect homes.

This remains the main focus as they try to ensure there are no additional properties lost.

30 homes have already been destroyed.

Fire Information Officer Jordan Turner says their crews as well as structural fire fighters are working around homes that were not damaged in the original blaze that swept through late last week.

7 helicopters and 14 pieces of heavy equipment join about a hundred personnel on the ground.

The fire is considered uncontained but lots of work has been going into putting in containment lines which are being strengthened all the time.
