The BC government has announced the local share of a $95 million school enhancement program.
The Kootenay Lake district gets $670,000 to upgrade digital control and dust collection systems.
That will happen at five schools including Canyon elementary and Prince Charles secondary.
The district also gets a student learning grant of $241,000.
The grants, announced in February, are to buy classroom equipment and supplies such as textbooks, lab equipment and art supplies.
