Party planned for Balfour ferry terminal’s 70th birthday

Balfour is celebrating a big anniversary this year.

Business owner Robin Goldsbury says they’re marking the 70th anniversary of the western terminal of the Kootenay Lake ferry being located there.

The event will also celebrate the province’s recent decision to retain Balfour as the ferry landing site rather than move it to Queens Bay.
