The Yahk-Kingsgate Rec society is holding another big fundraiser , this time for the E.K. Foundation for Health’s I.C.UĀ Redevelopment Project.
President Judy Dickson says the goal of Carefest is to come together as a community and stand behind something that will help a lot people.
Dickson says people from Yahk’s neighbouring communities were very supportive of their 2012 fundraiser , Breastfest, which raised $8, 000 for E.K. Foundation for Health.
Carefest takes place on October 3rd at the Yahk Kingsgate Community Hall.
It features a dinner, dance, silent and live auctions along with the Creston Community Band.
