The equipment is expected to arrive June 7.
Laura Francis with Kootenay Employment Services says it’ll be available to farmers and community groups.
Another goal is to reduce food waste.
Seven farms have already committed to pressing different kinds of fruits and vegetables.
Francis says A five-person crew is being hired to operate the press.
