Adam Casemore has won the Creston town council by-election.
Casemore had 217 votes, Signe Miller 144, Scott Veitch 124, Bill Hutchinson 81 and Hugh Taylor 42.
That means 608 valid votes were counted, although the turnout percentage wasn’t immediately available.
Casemore, who was the youngest of the five candidates, will replace the late Joe Snopek on council.
