Eco Society reports on local residential carbon pollution

How far do we need to go locally to quit fossil-fuel energy use within the next 33 years?

A report from the West Kootenay Eco Society on energy and infrastructure shows residential carbon emissions in a variety of communities.

Executive Director Montana Burgess says in general we’re doing well in the quest to be off all fossil fuel by 2050.

The report also highlights advances in sustainable energy- such as the vehicle charging stations in Creston and Rossland, Nelson’s solar array and the Anoxic Zone at Castlegar’s sewer treatment plant.
