Kootenay-Columbia MP Wayne Stetksi has been presented the Customs and Immigration Union flag.
Stetksi has been working to have the CIU recognized as law enforcment officers.
He hopes to put a spotlight on the issue in the house of commons.
The CIU has been without a contract for three years.
They’re looking for a contract similar to police officers.
