The community donated more than they ever have to the Creston Valley Gleaners this season.
That according to Elaine Keeling on the Board of Directors.
She says this has been one of their best years.
She says they received over $2000 in cash donations from the town and another $5500 from CP Rail, 700 jars of peanut butter for their buy-one, donate-one drive, and almost 800 pounds of food donations.
Keeling says they are thrilled and are now hoping for more volunteers.
The gleaners held fundraising events at Overwaitea and the holiday train.
