The Columbia Basin Trust has announced its 2018 environment grants.
One of the organisations that’s included is the BC Wildlife Federation.
They were granted $38,000 to contribute to a stream restoration at Erickson Elementary, a ‘Map Our Marshes’ workshop in Salmo alongside a local ATV club, a wetland restoration project in King George VI Provincial Park, and a wetland restoration and enhancement project at the Lister Creek headwaters
Wetlands program manager Neil Fletcher says they’ve been working within the Creston wetlands for five years.
He says the wetlands are a unique landscape.
