Short power outage caused by a damaged transmission line

The power outage in Creston around 3pm was caused by a damaged transmission line.

According to Sean Bardow from Fortis BC it was a third party line.

Fortis managed to restore power to most of the area within 10 minutes.

Bardow says the damage could’ve been caused by snowfall.

The outage covered most of Creston and stretched to Arrow Creek and Wynndel.
