Creston RCMP responded to a variety of calls this week.

Creston RCMP responded to several residential calls last week.

On Wednesday police were called to investigate possible animal cruelty in which a house cat was believe to be shot with a pellet gun. Later that day police were called to investigate a laptop computer stolen out of a vehicle in Creston, attempts are being made to locate the computer.

On Thursday an attempted vehicle stop for a criminal driving violation resulted in the driver not stopping and the police following them through Creston on Highways 21 and Highway 3. The suspect was eventually stopped and charged.

Police were also called to a report of a break and enter that day. A youth came home to notice a silver vehicle driving out of the driveway and several items missing from the house.The suspect returned later and was detained by the youth and a parent until police arrived, charges have been laid.

On Saturday police assisted Edmonton City Police with a breach of probation on a resident of Creston.

On Sunday police were called to assist with a domestic disturbance stemming from a loud argument. Later they were called to intervene in a family dispute.

On Monday police were called to a theft at a Creston residence. The item that was believed to be stolen was found before the police arrived.
