Multiculturalism celebrated at Creston Museum

The Creston Museum is unveiling a new exhibit tomorrow to celebrate Multiculturalism day.

“We’ve been taking pictures of faces in Creston and we’re putting them all up on a wall for the Faces of Creston exhibit to showcase some of the diversity that we have here.” Says Curator for the Museum, Tammy Bradford. “We expect to see quite a few diverse faces here on Thursday so we just might be adding to it Thursday afternoon!”

The free event starts at 1:00 pm. There will be a presentation, food and cake. Bradford asks that residents call the Museum (250-428- 9262) to RSVP so that they may prepare accordingly.

“We’re partnering with the Creston Refugee Committee to celebrate their 40th anniversary. They are preparing to welcome their 100th refugee and we are recognizing that and the diversity that their work has brought to the community.”
