Like many of our communities Nelson is getting set to host its Remembrance Day events Wednesday.
Local Doug Wood- a retired British army officer who is in his 40’s – will be the parade commander for a third successive year.
And today he visited local high schools with Nelson’s World War Two veteran Lionel Binette who is 96 years old.
Wood says it’s excellent to see school students give them a warm welcome and engage in the Remembrance process.
