Selkirk College has been served a small piece of the province’s latest $12 million pie for trades equipment upgrades. Public post secondary institutions are receiving funding through 2015-2016 as part of B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint.
While some schools received one and a half million dollars, Selkirk was granted $87, 000.
The money will purchase a stonebake oven, a vertical milling machine, and a manual cold saw.
Selkirk did receive over $315, 000 last year for trades equipment.
