A crowd of 300 plus were on hand at the Lower Kootenay Band Wednesday.
It was for the Ktunaxa Nation’s Annual General Assembly.
Special Guest Speaker Chief Ernie Crey  from the Cheam First Nation shared his thoughts on new beginnings.
Crey also touched on the importance of the national inquiry into murdered and missing indigenous women to all Canadians, not just First Nations.
