It turns out the Green Party candidate in Nelson-Creston finished second in this month’s provincial election.
Elections BC’s final count says Kim Charlesworth was runner-up to re-elected New Democrat Michelle Mungall.
On election night, it appeared that Liberal Tanya Wall had a slight lead.
But the addition of absentee ballots gave Charlesworth a 43-vote edge on Wall.
It’s the first time the Greens have finished second in the riding.
The overall turnout in Nelson-Creston was 67 per cent, up from 57 per cent in 2013.
