Growing Transplants with Lloyd Morris at the Creston Public Library

February 13 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

The Locavore Book Club invites you to join us to learn how to grow your own garden transplants on Wednesday, February 13th at 7pm at the Creston Public Library.

Buying transplants for your garden can be expensive and limited as the stores may not have what you want. Save money and grow exactly the varieties you desire by growing your own! Learn proper seeding, raising, and transplanting techniques with local horticulturist Lloyd Morris (Morris Greenhouse). For more than 60 years, Lloyd has grown his own transplants for sale to gardeners in the Creston Valley.

Some plants do better started inside and love to be transplanted, others don’t like to be coddled and prefer to go straight into the ground. Learn which are which and how you can get a jump on this season’s harvest by growing your own.

No matter if you only have a tiny apartment deck, small garden space, or plenty of acreage you can grow fresh, healthy food in a healthier, more environmentally friendly way. Make a dent in your grocery bill and supply your family with fresh, healthy food by learning how to grow your own!
