Outdoor Creston Valley Farmers Market Returns

While the Creston Valley Farmers Market springs back into action this Saturday, there may be an evening market on the horizon.

Organizer, Riley Collins says they want to work in partnership with Pealow’s Independent Grocer who already sources some produce from local Valley Producers.

“We want to work on a partnership because Pealows is bringing in so many local producers anyway. A lot are already vendors at the Farmers Market, so we thought that would be a very fun way to feature them and have live music, kind of a cook-out and maybe even a beer garden. We’ll see what we can get!”

The first monthly evening market is planned for June 21st, the summer solstice, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

The weekly outdoor market just outside the visitor centre will have up to 30 vendors. Collins says she expects it to grow once local produce is available. There will also be live entertainment.

“We have music booked all the through until the end of the summer, so we’re psyched about that.”

The Creston Valley Farmers Market runs from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
