Creston RCMP arrested a man who was found carrying a loaded firearm.
19-year-old Zachary Muise was arrested following a disturbance at a residence in Creston.
Muise was held in custody and is now facing multiple charges.
“I am proud of our officers for getting a dangerous weapon off the street and bringing the accused into custody in a peaceful manner,” said Cst. Brett Urano in a release.
“Creston can sleep better now, knowing that a firearm has been taken off our streets.”
Muise is facing charges of failure to comply with release orders, possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, the unauthorized possession of a firearm, and the possession of a firearm with tampered serial numbers.
Muise will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Oct. 10.
