A proud moment for students, teachers and staff at Yaqan Nukiy School near Creston this morning.
The school pledge kicked off a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the now completed expansion.
Grade 4-5 teacher Trevor Marzki says the school plays an integral role in the area.
The expansion offers four new classrooms to accommodate the growing enrolment.
The K-7 school is funded for all students, including non-natives.
