An innovation centre in Nelson would be great for the community.
This from Andrea Wilkey who is with the Nelson And Area Economic Development Partnership.
The group is applying for $10,000 in project development funds through the BC Government’s $75 million Rural Dividend Program to support the proposed centre.
If the business plan is successful that could lead to a half-million dollar grant.
The innovation centre would create economic benefits through the development of technology-based businesses while retaining and attracting tech-savvy workers.
