The clean-up continues throughout the Creston Valley and surrounding area following last night’s wind storm.
The blast knocked out power for about 1,000 customers throughout the East Shore, Crawford Bay and in and around Creston.
Erika Schade with Fortis BC says it’s been restored to 400 homes in the Canyon area.
It should be back up in Creston by 4:00 pm and Crawford Bay by 6:00 pm.

However she says there are other impacted communities.
Additional crews are being brought in from elsewhere in the province to assist.
