Average Creston home value dips slightly

Residential property assessments are down slightly in Creston.

The BC Assessment office says the average home is valued at $220,000 compared to $225,000 the previous year.

But Kootenay Columbia deputy assessor Ramaish Shah says that won’t necessarily mean lower taxes.

Creston was one of a handful of places in the Kootenays that saw a modest decline in assessment.
