Creston’s Kokanee Country Snowmobile Club wants you to play safe in the backcountry this winter.
This in light of the death last week of a sledder caught in an avalanche near Valemount.
President Trish Drinkle says the club provides educational opportunities.
The class is on the 21st and 22nd.

Drinkle says you need to be properly equipped for and educated about the backcountry.
She urges you to pay attention to the conditions at avalanche.ca and carry an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe at all times.
Drinkle says groups like theirs are great resources.
Drinkle says clubs also ensure people never ride alone.
