The future of the old village site on the Lower Kootenay Band’s community reserve is under discussion.
Chief Jason Louie says they’re surveying members about the land along Highway 21.
Some of it is privately owned and they’d like to know if there’s any appetite to sell.
The area is expected to be designated industrial use for economic development.
A survey is being distributed with a Nov. 30 deadline.
