The Supreme Court of Canada is hearing the Ktuanxa First Nation’s challenge of Jumbo Glacier Resort today.
They argue the resort would be built in an area that’s key to many of their spiritual beliefs and practices.
And they say that would violate their constitutional rights.
The BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal both rejected their case but the high court agreed to hear it.
