The Columbia Brewery bottling plant in Creston is set to shut down by December.
The company is moving all bottling operations to Edmonton where a new packer has been installed.
The new machine has the ability to pack larger boxes, effectively consolidating all western bottle distribution.
Warren Chandler with the Labatt Calgary Corporate Affairs office can’t say yet how this will affect jobs.
Labatt products will still be brewed and canned in Creston.
