Creston has been listed second for unaffordable rent in the province.
According to a 2016 survey from Statistics Canada Creston renters pay 58 percent of their income on housing.
This is 28 percent higher than what is considered affordable shelter according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Association.
Creston falls just below an area in Vancouver located close to the University of British Columbia.
Other small towns that were on the list were Port Alberni and Salt Spring Island.
