Ten days of smoky skies are over in terms of their potential health effects.
The Smoky Skies Advisory that was put in place for the Kootenay and Boundary on August 21st has ended.
The Ministry of Environment and Interior Health says the rain and winds the past few days have reduced the amount of smoke and improved air quality.
Our region is still rated at around 5 Monday or “moderate” on a scale of 1 to 10 regarding health risk.
Much of the rest of BC has a rating of 2.
