The Creston Valley Teachers Association president wants the Kootenay Lake School Board to review their facilities plan.
Doug Kunzelman says the plan was created in 2016 and a lot has changed since then.
A group of community members spoke to the board on Tuesday night requesting they re-open the facilities plan.
The 2016 plan indicates a closure of the Creston Education Centre and the programs to be re-distributed. It also indicated a closure of the old school board building on PCSS property that will now house Homelinks and Wildflower.
Kunzelman says although the board isn’t getting rid of programs in the centre the new facilities aren’t a good fit.
He adds around 50 Creston residents attended the Tuesday school board meeting either in person or by teleconference.
