Creston Town Council reviewed applications for the Columbia Basin Trust’s Community Initiatives Program at the April 17th committee meeting.
Thirty-eight applications were received with $85,020 requested for different projects. The town was approved for $73,084.
Director of Finance and Corporate Services Steffan Klassen says last year it was easier to distribute the funds.
Town council allocated the $73,000 at the meeting.
Distribution is pending approval from the Regional District of Central Kootenay. The RDCK will review the allocation of funds on May 17.
