The Town of Creston has awarded the 2018 micro-surfacing project bid to West-Can Seal Coating.
The request for tender was advertised for about a month with West-Can’s bid coming in at just over $314,947. Manager of Engineering Colin Farynowski says the towns budget for the project was $374,000.
Construction is set to begin on the project at the end of August. Farynowski says the micro-sealing restores the wearing surface to roads.
The project will cover 3.4 km of roads in various places around town.
