The Dan McMurray Community Seed Bank and College of the Rockies are having their annual plant sale.
Seed bank manager Pat Huet says they’re using up the last of Dan McMurray’s store of seeds with this years sale. She says there’s a ton of variety of veggies and herbs to choose from.
The community seed bank began in 2012. Huet says the collection of seeds adds some food security for the Creston Valley.
Many of the seeds are rare or heirloom variety, the seed bank also collects certain varieties every year from grower donations.
The sale goes Friday from 11 am to 2 pm at the college.
