New sculptures in the Creston Valley

Some new additions to Creston’s public sculpture art this year. That includes Ale-lien, Rock Dragon, Old Dog, and Departures and Arrivals which is at the Baillie-Grohman Winery. Howard Boyle is one of the Directors on the Creston Valley Public Art Connection and says they added some extra flare to the base of Rock Dragon.

He says a priority this year is making Bear Circle in front of the Creston and District Community Complex officially a permanent addition.

Boyle says they’ve been fundraising for its purchase for the past two years, but the Columbia Basin’s Trust’s new public art grant should make it a reality.

He says they’ll be launching their corporate sponsorship campaign soon for any businesses who want to make a permanent addition to the downtown.
