Design work is moving ahead for upgrades to the Creston Community Park. Randy Fediuk, Manager of Recreation – Creston and District Community Complex, says the skate park is the furthest along right now in the design phase.
The rest of the park will have its detailed design package issued for tender in the next month. There’s no fixed date for groundbreaking yet. Fediuk says that depends on the tender process.
Fediuk says there are ways residents can stay on top of the process.
The project includes a reconstructed skate park, a picnic and civic space for gatherings, a revitalized playground, volley ball courts and more.
Fediuk says its a very exciting project for the community which should be realized within the next 12 months.
