Columbia Power donates to Selkirk plans

A key local industrial leader and employer has signalled its commitment to much-needed renovations to Selkirk College.

Columbia Power Corporation has donated $30,000 towards the multi-million dollar plans to renew equipment and enhance student opportunities at the campuses in Castlegar and Nelson.

CPC President and CEO Frank Wszelaki says ensuring trades training has been key to past hydro projects and there are more on the way.

Wszelaki says being part of renewing Selkirk College’s study spaces and equipment is a part of ensuring a strong locally-skilled work force.
