Work on the multi-purpose skate park at the Creston and District Community Complex is well underway.
New line Skate parks is in charge of construction. They are in the process of installing a storm drain and will move onto forming retaining walls and skate park features over the coming weeks. The Langley, BC based company set their completion goal for July, 2019.
The skate park is the first step in the redevelopment of the outdoor space. Once completed it will be accessible. However, the surrounding area will be an active construction site while the remainder of the community park is completed.
The project is being funded through the Federal Gas Tax Fund, administered by the Union of BC Municipalities in partnership with the Federal and Provincial government with additional funding provided by the Columbia Basin Trust.
