A local marijuana legalization advocate is hoping for a speedy and sensible approach from the new Liberal administration.
Nelson’s Herb Couch, who is with the Sensible BC group, says he hopes the Trudeau government engages with them and others to create a logical tax and regulation approach.
And he says lessons can be learned from the US.
Washington State and Colorado each collected around $70 million in marijuana taxes last year.
Justin Trudeau has promised to legalize marijuana although he has not spelled out what the process or the time-frame will be.
