It’s a big inconvenience for some but there’s little the City Of Nelson can do about transit changes at the Lakeside Mall.
The bus stop has been moved from the Save On Foods end to around the corner from Walmart.
This is because of safety issues with passengers previously being dropped off in the middle of a parking lot.
But Councillor Robin Cherbo says that area is difficult for everyone.

But the city says there’s no choice when it comes to passenger and driver liability.
Grocery shoppers will now have to walk the length of the mall to get on and off the bus.
