The Village of Montrose is fielding nominations for an open seat on their council.
The opening comes after a councilor had to resign for personal reasons.
Mayor Joe Danchuck says there has been two nominations so far, which indicates there will be a by-election to fill the seat.
He is happy with the early response.
Deadline to submit nominations is December 11th.
If the nominees decide to follow through with their intentions to run for the seat a by-election will come early January.
