A local paving company has been recognized by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
Selkirk Paving of Crescent Valley has been named contractor of the year in the category of paving.
Operations Manager Tony Maida says it was a group effort.
The award recognizes their work resurfacing parts of the Highway 3 corridor near Salmo as well as some of the side streets in the area.
They won the award based on excellent quality control and their brand new asphalt plant that resulted in reduced emissions.
