Will Nelson’s affordable housing crunch prevent it from welcoming Syrian refugees?

A few groups in the Queen City are hoping to sponsor a Syrian family as part of the federal government’s commitment to bring in 25,000 people.

Mayor Deb Kozak admits the lack of affordable housing options is an issue but she’s hearing positive things from neighboring communities.

Kozak is confident Nelson can work with other communities in ensuring there is accommodation for locally-sponsored refugees.
